Just so you know, I have started a new website. I know that you have heard about Pay Per Post and this is what I want to try. I have 24 hours access to the web so why not spare a little of my time writing blog that will bring me some $$$ than just wasting my time and money (paying the ISPs...) by just surfing and gaining nothing. I hope this is going to work...
Here's the link to my new haven Life on the Sideline. I might still be updating this blog once in a while. So please don't forget to add my new blog to your links. Muchos gracias amigos/amigas!

So it's my birthday today... another year has passed... Thank you Lord for the blessings and guidance... and I am looking forward for the new chapter of my life...
So I got my present from G last Sunday... I was amused by him because he has been like "Don't ask me about your present..." because he want it to be a surprise... and he knows that I am an expert in digging secrets out of him... so after we ate our breakfast he said he wanted me to watch his soccer game... I have not watched him play since... but I told him that if I went with him to the game, we have to use just one car coz it would take me forever to parallel park... gawd! I just hate parallel parking! So I watched him in the car coz it was raining so bad and there were no covered bleachers in there. I was a little bit impressed. He's a good player. He did the first score for their team and they won 2-0. Then he said we need to go somewhere to pick-up my gift... He said we had to do it that time because the store is only opened Friday, Saturday and Sunday and he does not have time to get it Monday or on my birthday. So I was like what kind of gift he's giving me? A store that only opens on weekends and I need to choose two - he'll choose the other one and I'll choose the other. Hmmm... so after a 20 min drive we stopped at the front of a pet store!!! There wasn't Petco or Petsmart signage but I know it is a pet store coz there are cages of snakes and hamsters outside. So we get in there and I said "You're getting me birds?" which he replied "No. Snakes" "No way! I am not getting snakes for my b-day!!!" He laughed at me and then he talked to the guy in there and then he went back to me and he said "They don't have it anymore..." And I asked "The what?" And I was right - he was getting me a pair of Canary birds with the cage and everything. He was a little bit disappointed though because I really wasn't that surprised. I told him he was wrong... I was surprised when we stopped at the front of the pet store... because I have no idea what those two gifts would be until we stopped at the pet store... (well... sorry dude... your gf is a bit smart... so next time... hehe...) but anyways, I was happy and really, really greatly appreciated the effort... he has been hiding that from me for almost a week... so he said maybe we just go to another pet store or it's up to me what I want... well, I can say a necklace... a watch... a whatever... but I loved the idea of someone giving me a pet and I love birds too but I'm just living in an apartment and the apartment does not have a roof for the patio and I have to put the cage inside at night - I feel like I'm too lazy to do those things so I suggested - maybe an aquarium and some fishes. Then he dragged me out and said "Let's go! I know exactly where to get it." So we went in another pet store and something at the center of the store caught my eye and I told him that's what I want. It's not really abig aquarium - just big enough to fit the space between my tv and the corner table, tall enough to level with my bookcase and I love the stand too. It's a complete package. It's exactly what my boring apartment needs... hehe... so we bought it - it's the last stock they had... lucky for us... he made a great deal on the price...
So we went back to my apartment, set up the aquarium... went to meijer to buy the ornaments, rocks and the bubble maker becuase he said aquariums should have bubbles (should they really?) and we had to leave it for 3-5 days for the water to be properly conditioned and safe for the fishes... so since yesterday I've been spending my time here in the office researching on aquarium fishes... hehe... and I'm so confused now of what fishes to get... because there are a lot of beautiful, colorful fishes but you just couldn't put anything you want - you still need to know if they are compatible with each other, if they will be able to live in a community or they prefer to be alone, etc. Aren't they interesting? I realized they're like people too... and I'm so excited to start this new hobby of mine... and I just know a new word in the english vocabulary - Aquarist - according to merriam-webster, a person who keeps or maintains an acquarium... so maybe I wanna be an acquarist... hehe...
I'm posting pictures of the acquarium here and by the way, he already has a name for one of the male fish - Flakito - because he said it is going to represent him - flako is a spanish term for skinny and flakito is the little version of flako. And he said we have to choose a fish which has like a metrosexual personality (k metrosexual daw cya.... bwahahaha... sa iyang mata! makatawa jud ko if moingon cya anih... nyahaha...)and a little bit arrogant and masculine and energetic... so I researched and the male Betta fish perfectly matched what he described... the only thing is it not sociable enough... hehe... it's a difficult fish to put in a community because it prefers to be alone coz if it sees another betta fish or something that looks like him (like putting a mirror in front of him) or some fishes that has beautiful color or long fins as him, it is going to attack it because he sees it as a threat. But I read a lot of forums and they said that it is possible to but one male betta fish with other fishes - just have to check the compatibility (Check it here www.liveaquaria.com). This is gonna be challenging and exciting - I just hope that the betta fish that we are going to get will be friendly enough with the others. Aside from the betta fish, I'm planning to get a maybe female rasbora and she will be named "Chabelita", then a male neon tetra, which I am going to name "Gandolfo" (Thanks Splat for the suggestion...) and I don't have a name and fish type for the other female yet... hmmm... or maybe I'll just start with 3 fishes...
